After 18 year, a Nigerian Transforms from a Cleaner to a Nurse.

After 18 years of employment as a cleaner at the University of Nigeria, Agadani Nnenna Gloria, a resolute Nigerian lady, has accomplished an inspirational milestone by receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Her hard work paid off, as she was formally admitted as a licensed nurse and initiated into the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

Nnenna reflected on her journey in a poignant Facebook post, remembering how she began as a health attendant tasked with cleaning the classrooms of student nurses. She persisted in pursuing her goal of a college education in spite of the obstacles.

I worked as a cleaner for student nurses’ classrooms years ago. She added, “I am now a nurse, licensed to practise by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, after eighteen years of hard work.”

She acknowledged the challenges she encountered along the way and attributed her accomplishment to faith, tenacity, and resolve.

Nnenna’s decision to become a nurse has changed her life. In addition to receiving her degree, she takes great satisfaction in helping people, especially by giving her father committed nursing care at home.
