The University’s Second (3rd and 4th) Combined Convocation Ceremonies are set to take place from Monday, May 20, to Saturday, May 25, 2024. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mu’azu Abubakar Gusau, extends an invitation to all 2019/2020 and 2021/2022 Academic Sessions’ graduates, parents/guardians, and the general public. This invitation is made on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Staff, Students, and the entire University Community.
DISCLAIMER FOR ALL GRADUANDS
Graduates are only need to pay N20,000 (twenty thousand naira) for the Academic Robe/Gown, Certificate, and Folder in addition to the Order of Proceedings. Remitta should be used to make the payment.
It is expected of every graduate to dress appropriately.
Only two (2) relatives will be permitted entry into the Convocation Arena, and no one, not even the graduates and their parents or guardians, will be permitted into the venue after 9:00 a.m.
By 9:00 a.m., all graduates are expected to gather at the Convocation Arena.
No student will be permitted to depart the Convocation site prior to the conclusion of the event. It is consequently recommended that students abide by these arrangements.
After receiving approval from the Academic Office, academic gowns should be picked up from the appropriate Faculty Officers.
Convocation material pickup begins at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024, and ends at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024.
The Graduands shall return all academic gowns to their designated collection places between Monday, May 27, 2024, and Friday, May 31, 2024.
The cleared form, which will be needed to pick up the certificate, should be obtained from the faculty officers and signed and stamped.
The Academic Office will begin giving out certificates to all graduates on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Before the certificates are issued, proof of payment for the certificates and a clearance form for returning the academic gown must be submitted.
To ensure that students return to their destinations on time, arrangements will be made for them to pick up their certificates even on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
PRIVACY
Every automobile and bus that does not have an insignia or badge from the university will be put through a rigorous security check.
Security checks will be conducted on bags and luggage before allowing entry into the Convocation Arena.
Parking lots are intended to be utilized exclusively with parking cards presented.
All vehicles in the approved parking areas close to the convocation will be directed by university security personnel and other security agencies.
There will be no item hawking in the arena.
