MUTA Education Undergraduate Scholarship Program

With great pleasure, the Mutual Union of the Tiv in America (MUTA) announces the opening of its 2024–2025 Academic Year Education Scholarship Program. The goal of this program is to encourage and support academic achievement among undergraduate students at Nigerian universities who are pursuing degrees in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Medicine, and related medical professions.

Information about the Scholarship and the Amount Awarded

For the 2024/2025 academic year, MUTA Education hopes to give out up to 16 scholarships, each worth N50,000.00. The recipients of this financial assistance will get a direct deposit to their accounts, which they can use for research, tuition, and other school-related costs.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

The following standards will determine your eligibility for this scholarship:

  • The applicant must be enrolled in an undergraduate program in medicine, allied health, or a STEM discipline.
  • To be eligible, one must have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 3.5 on a 5.0 scale, which is equal to a second-class higher degree.

It’s crucial to remember that applications will only be evaluated if they match the CGPA requirements mentioned above. The objective is to choose one deserving beneficiary from each of Benue State’s Fourteen Tiv-speaking Local Government Areas (LGAs), as well as one from each of the states of Taraba and Nasarawa.
