General Qualifications for Candidates
Here are some preparations you should do if you plan to continue your education at Covenant University:
- Fill out the application that may be found on the university website.
- Certificates of degrees and/or diplomas.
- Academic transcripts.
- Reference letters.
- A 500-word statement of intent in your proposed research area.
- Nigerian nationals are required to present their certificate of dismissal, exemption, or exclusion from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
- Make sure that authentic transcripts from all of your previous universities are sent directly to Covenant University’s School of Postgraduate Studies Dean.
Eligibility for Masters Degree Programs
- Applicants must have completed their undergraduate studies in the relevant field with at least a Second Class (Lower Division) degree from Covenant University or any other accredited university.
- In addition, candidates holding an HND (Upper Credit) or a Third Class Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply if they additionally hold a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale.
- For full-time students, a master’s degree must be earned after a minimum of two academic semesters of study.
Program Eligibility for Ph.D.
- Candidates should be graduates of Covenant University or any other accredited university with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in the relevant field.
- Direct admission to a Ph.D. program requires a minimum CGPA of 4.00 on a 5.00 scale, or comparable (60%) in the Master’s degree.
- A CGPA of 3.50–3.99 or higher (55–59%) may be taken into consideration for an M.Phil. or Ph.D. program.
- For full-time students, the Ph.D. program must be completed in three academic semesters.
Opportunities at Covenant Business School (CBS)
- Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, and Real Estate are among the specializations available for the Master of Business Administration (MBA).
- A appropriate bachelor’s degree with at least a second class lower division is required of candidates.
- In addition to professional credentials like ACA, ICAN, ACIB, etc., holders of an HND or Third Class Bachelor’s degree are required to hold a PGD with a minimum CGPA of 3.50.

- Certificate/Diploma programme in Leadership.

- Find the postgraduate admissions page for 2024/2025 and register for your admissions process by creating a personal account.
- Once your account has been created, sign in, fill out the online form, and go to the payment page.
- The N15,000.00 application fee is non-refundable, and internet or bank payments will incur additional costs.
