ASUU Applauds UNIZIK’s Student Assault Case Action.

In response to the widely shared video of a female student at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) attacking a lecturer after he interrupted her video filming, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has issued a statement.

Precious Mbakwe was expelled as a result of the disciplinary committee that the university administration established after the event.

ASUU praised Dr. Chukwudi Michael Okoye, the lecturer, in a statement for his professionalism and maturity throughout the conflict. ASUU’s dedication to safeguarding its members and maintaining a positive learning environment was reaffirmed by the union, which also commended Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr. Okoye for his prompt action.
