A male student named Tony was expelled from Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun State, for violently assaulting a female coworker over personal relationship problems.
The victim, known as “Girl X,” was brutally attacked by Tony on the university’s football pitch on March 10, 2025, according to reports making the rounds on social media. According to witnesses, she suffered severe bleeding and blood loss as a result of the incident.

A video that the victim had provided to Tony’s girlfriend a month prior, showing him strolling with her, was purportedly the cause of the assault. Tony confronted the victim and viciously beat her, yelling at her to apologise since he thought the video had damaged his relationship. Additionally, he took a video of her in anguish and threatened more abuse while captioning it, “Other girls will learn from this.”
After being shared on social media, the incident provoked a great deal of outrage, with many people demanding justice. Bells University responded quickly and expelled Tony for his behaviour. He was found guilty of physical assault, and the school issued a statement stating that such behaviour would not be allowed on campus.
Social media users have applauded the university’s decision, highlighting the victim’s right to justice and accountability. A lot of people have also denounced the culture of violence against women and demanded more stringent laws to stop future occurrences of this kind.
