Together, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) have developed a program aimed at educating the upcoming generation of policymakers. The nine-month Charles R. Wall Young African Policy Fellows Program fully immerses you in the realm of African biodiversity governance. The program is in line with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, “The Africa We Want”, which emphasizes how important biodiversity and the natural environment are to the sustainable development of the continent.

- Fully Funded Fellowship: This program includes round-trip airfare to and from your place of origin, ground transportation to and from Nairobi workshops, and registration for a policymaking conference.

Qualifications
- Enthusiasm for Biodiversity: A proven interest in the fields of biodiversity and allied fields.
- African Nationality: Available to African citizens who live and work in Africa.
- Age and Educational Background: Having completed at least one university degree in a relevant field, between the ages of 20 and 35. Relevant experience can take the place of a degree.
- Experience: Two years of management or conservation experience in biodiversity.
- The ability to travel for conferences, stay for the entire course, and assist negotiators is a sign of commitment.

- Though certain materials may be translated, candidates who speak French are invited to apply, but basic English proficiency is required.
