Offered by the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) and the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), the DENUHENT Farms Poultry and Fishery Training is a four-month intensive skills development effort. You will receive hands-on training in sustainable farming through this program, which is in partnership with DENUHENT Farms in Makurdi.
Program Synopsis
Since its founding in 1971, the ITF has persistently endeavour to develop a robust native labour force for Nigeria. Its partnership with DENUHENT Farms and NECA aims to provide young Nigerians with marketable skills for agricultural enterprises. The goal of this program is to promote self-reliance and entrepreneurship by developing fundamental skills.

Program Goals
- Developing your abilities will equip you with the practical knowledge needed to start and run a successful farming enterprise.

What You Receive

- Meal and Stipend: You can offset your travel expenses by receiving a daily meal and a stipend.
Note: because this is a non-residential program, you are in charge of finding housing.
Qualifications
- Age range: 18 to 40
- Qualifications: You ought to have a minimum of one of the following:
- Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND)
- Higher National Diploma (HND)
- Bachelor’s Degree
It helps to be willing to devote to farming full-time and to set aside four months for it.
Admission Test
Those who have been shortlisted will be contacted and asked to come for an interview and aptitude test. Bring the following:
- Two passport-size photographs
- Original Birth Certificate
- Original Educational Certificates
- National ID, Voter’s Card, or International Passport (original and photocopy)
