Details of Edo State University’s 2024–2025 Post-UTME/DE Screening and Registration

This is to notify the general public that the 2024–2025 academic session admission form for Edo State University Uzairue (EDSU) is currently available for purchase.

(I) General requirements for admission via UTME

1. Candidates who took the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are eligible to apply for admission.
2. Applicants must visit the Edo State University, Uzairue website at www.edouniversity.edu.ng to complete the online application form.
3. All applicants must fulfil the minimum entry requirements set by the department, which are five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects at the GCE O’ Level/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalents at no more than two sittings, including English language and mathematics. The five credits—which also include English and mathematics—for Medicine and Surgery (MB; BS) must be earned in a single session.
4. Applicants who are awaiting the findings of the above (b) may also apply.
5. The Edo State University Uzairue (formerly Edo University Iyamho) Screening Exercise would be mandatory for all applicants.

Candidates who took the 2024 UTME but did not select Edo State University Uzairue as their top choice may still apply by following these instructions to switch their course of study or university selection to Edo State University:

1. Apply via JAMB for a Change of Institution.
2. Complete the online application for Edo State University Uzairue.

(II) DIRECT ENTRY

The 2024 JAMB Direct Entry Form must be purchased and completed by all Direct Entry candidates.

The following candidates are accepted for direct entry admission to Edo State University Uzairue’s 200 Level:

1. A minimum of an NCE with merit, an OND or HND with credit, or a university degree in a relevant field.
2. Applicants who have earned two Advanced Level diplomas in relevant courses, or its equivalent.
3. At appropriate grade levels, the Cambridge moderated School of Basic Studies, the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB), or the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB).
4. Candidates must meet the O’ level criteria in addition to a university degree, NCE, ND, HND, IJMB, JUPEB, or two Advanced Level papers that are prescribed by each faculty or program.
5. Any additional requirements that the University Senate has authorized.

(III) APPLICANTS FOR TRANSFERS

Candidates who fulfil the following requirements will be permitted to transfer to Edo State University Uzairue from other NUC-accredited universities:

1. Get the required Edo State University Inter-University Transfer application form online, then fill it out.
2. Pass the screening and interview process held by Edo State University at Uzairue.
3. Satisfy the minimal prerequisites for enrollment in Edo State University Uzairue.
4. Possess the admissions letter from JAMB to your present university.
5. Make sure the Edo State University
6. Uzairue Admissions Office receives their transcript of their academic records.
7. Posses a C.G.P.A. of at least 1.5

APPLICATION CHARGE

The required application fees for UTME/DE and Transfer Candidates are two thousand naira (N2,000) for Post UTME/DE and sixty thousand naira (N60,000) for Transfer, respectively.
