Matriculation Oath and Register
Attendance at this important event is required of all new undergraduate students as they will be taking the Matriculation Oath and signing the Matriculation Register at their respective faculties/colleges. This ceremony represents a dedication to the university’s norms and ideals, not just a formality. Students need to participate in the register since they will not be recognized as enrolled students by the institution if they do not sign it.
Academic Gowns: A Conventional Symbol
- Deposit: A 500 Naira (N500.00) non-refundable deposit is needed.
- Collection: Academic gowns will be on hand from Faculty Officers beginning at noon on Monday, March 25, 2024.
- Return Date: All gowns must be returned to the Central Stores by Friday, 1st April 2024
The Faculty Officers will award the academic gown—a representation of academic pride and tradition—after receiving the deposit from the Bursary Department. This gown not only represents the student’s entry into the MAU academic community but is also a component of the ceremonial clothing
