During a special meeting on Thursday, 10th October 2024, Management and the Committee of Deans reviewed a letter from the EKSU Students’ Union Executives, asking a twenty-one (21) day extension for the Second Semester Examination.
Management and the Committee of Deans engaged in long discussions about the request from the Students’ Union Executives and expressed empathy for the students affected by the adverse consequences of the recent flooding caused by the severe rainfall.
Management acknowledged the Committee of Deans’ concerns and agreed to provide a one-week extension to allow students sufficient preparation for the upcoming tests.
Arising from the above, Management decided as follows, that:
1. the students be given one (1) week extension to enable them prepare for the forthcoming examination;
ii. the examination for 300 level students will begin on Monday, 21 October, 2024;
iii. the examination for 100 and 200 level students will begin on Monday, 28th October, 2024; and
iv. the examination for 400 and 500 level students will begin on Monday, 25th November, 2024.
Management hereby communicates the decision accordingly.
