Falodun Daniel, who is only eighteen, is revolutionising the global tech scene with ground-breaking approaches in artificial intelligence, blockchain, accessibility, and sustainability.
Falodun is a full-stack Web2 and Web3 developer, drone pilot, game developer, app developer, 2D/3D animator, and modeller. His broad skill set enables him to solve practical problems using technology and spur innovation in a variety of industries.
Falodun has gained admission to some of the most prestigious fellowships in the world despite his youth. He has been granted the RISE Global Award, a distinguished fellowship from Schmidt Futures and the Rhodes Trust that is given to just 0.2% of more than 50,000 candidates. He receives financing, scholarships, and access to private meetings and networks through this $1 billion effort.

In addition, he became the first Nigerian to get the Seguinland Institute Fellowship in the United States and was chosen for the Non-Trivial Fellowship, one of the most competitive research programs in the world with over 35,000 applications. He also participates in high-level conversations on leadership and social impact as a Global Citizens Circle Fellow and a Take Action Lab Fellow (Tilting Futures).
Falodun has created innovative initiatives to enhance people’s lives:
- Navigate X: This virtual mouse allows people with disabilities to use their head and eyes to manipulate digital gadgets.
- EcoCycle: A trash management system driven by blockchain technology that encourages sustainability and recycling. • Eraiiz: A global marketplace that links customers with environmentally conscious companies.
- Empower Match: An online resource that connects developers with initiatives that improve accessibility for those with disabilities.
In addition to his technological advancements, Falodun is dedicated to uplifting and mentoring people. He has motivated thousands with keynote addresses, supported women and nurses pursuing STEM professions through the University of Cape Town’s SHAWCO program, and taught young girls coding and UI/UX design through She Code Africa.
He instructs kids in web programming and advanced AI at Pearlshore Academy. He has given more than 30 underprivileged children in Lagos STEM skills through collaborations with private and non-profit organisations, enabling them to secure better futures.
Falodun maintains his humility in spite of his outstanding accomplishments, saying:
“I just try to solve problems and make myself relevant; I’m not special in any way.”
His story demonstrates that by taking on real-world problems, young brains can spur innovation, make a significant difference, and succeed financially.
