It gives great pleasure to announce the dates of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro’s 21st Combined Convocation Ceremony, a historic occasion honouring the academic achievements of its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students from the academic sessions of 2022/2023 and 2021/2022. The Rector, in collaboration with the committed Management, Academic Board, Staff, and Students, and under the distinguished direction of Dr. M. A. Akinde, cordially invites the graduates and the wider public to participate in this historic event.
The Convocation Ceremony’s Highlight
At this year’s convocation event, Alhaji (Chief) Ganiyu Adetokunboh Ogunfemi, a person of notable accomplishments and contributions, will be awarded the Polytechnic’s Honorary Fellowship. The event is slated for Wednesday, March 6, 2024, which is a noteworthy day for the university and its supporters to celebrate and be recognized.

Note of Importance for Students About to Graduate
Academic Dress Selection
- Date of Start: Wednesday, February 28, 2024
- Process for Payment: To create an invoice and pay your convocation fee, go to the instructions provided on the official website. Present your student ID and proof of payment to the Directorate of Student Affairs to pick up your gown.
- Deadline to return gown: Thursday, March 7, 2024. Kindly be advised that there will be a fine of N1,000.00 for every day if the gown is not returned on time.
Required Presence
All HND graduates are required to attend the convocation event; refusal to do so would result in an N10,000 fine.
Graduates and participants are advised to visit the Academic Affairs Unit of the Registry or contact us using the contact information provided if they need any additional information.
