Requirements for Admission to HND Programs

In order to be qualified for any HND program, applicants need to fulfil the following prerequisites:

• National Diploma (ND) or National Innovative Diploma (NID): At least a Lower Credit classification from a recognized/accredited Polytechnic, Monotechnic, or Innovation Enterprise Institution is required for the ND or NID in the chosen curriculum.
• O’Level Requirements: Five (5) credit passes in relevant areas, such as mathematics and English language, earned in no more than two (2) WAEC, NECO, or GCE sittings.
• The National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC) requires four (4) relevant academic topics, including English Language and Mathematics, in addition to a credit level pass in a trade.
• Experience with Industrial Training: Following National Diploma, one year of industrial training.
• Consideration for PASS Grade: Applicants who have completed at least two (2) years of post-industrial training and have received a PASS grade in ND/NID are qualified.

Within eight weeks following the publication of this announcement, applicants who did not receive their National Diploma from the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, shall send a copy of their National Diploma Transcript to the Office of the Registrar.

The whole name of each candidate must be written with their surname appearing first, just like on their diplomas and National Identity Numbers (NINs). It also requires a current, personal email address.
