Oyewale Malik Tomilola, a 21-year-old Nigerian, has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement by earning a first-class degree in biochemistry from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Nigeria, with a remarkable cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.52.

Malik attributes his success to his mother’s unwavering support and characterises his educational journey as one marked by discipline and determination.
Malik, who was raised with the principles of perseverance and hard work, stressed that his goals were more than just dreams; he worked towards them every day, conquering obstacles with the help of lectures, tests, and steadfast prayers.
Through sleepless nights and academic stress, his mother was his rock, always praying for him, supporting him, and giving up something of herself to make sure he could reach his full potential.
Malik claims that her unflinching strength was his silent inspiration, keeping him focused even in the face of adversity.
His commitment was not overlooked. Malik won multiple awards from the LAUTECH Muslim Graduates Association (LAUMGA) during his time in college, including the title of Best Level Muslim Student in Biochemistry from his third year until graduation.
Thinking back on his experiences, Malik said that the values he was raised with and his mother’s unwavering love gave him a strong base to keep him centred in spite of the difficulties he encountered.
