Five Students Win at Creative Talent Incubator Programme by Ark Zero Five Foundation
Five students from three schools emerged as winners at the Creative Talent Incubator Programme organized by Ark Zero Five Foundation in Lagos. The event, a two-day initiative aimed at nurturing young artistic talents, featured workshops, mentorship, and competitions to empower children and support their creative development.
The programme, a Financial Aid and Arts initiative for primary school students, brought together over 40 participants from seven schools within the Ejigbo Model School Complex. It included interactive workshops, exhibitions, and hands-on art creation, facilitated by creative professionals and art teachers. The workshops focused on essential drawing techniques to foster artistic growth among the students.
The five winners were awarded cash prizes ranging from ₦30,000 to ₦20,000, along with art starter packs to aid their creative journey. Schools represented included:
- Imakiyo Primary School
- Ejigbo Model Primary School
- Fadu Memorial Primary School
- Oba Muruf Primary School
- Adegboyega Nursery and Primary School
Olajide Olukayode Babalola, a member of Ark Zero Five Foundation, emphasized the importance of nurturing young talent to empower children and youth to overcome societal challenges. He stated, “This programme is part of a broader effort to help children harness their talents as a means of social action.”
He highlighted the foundation’s commitment to developing the students’ talents, ensuring the initiative is part of a long-term empowerment process.
Mrs. R.M. Gbadamosi, Head of Social Mobilization at Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, commended the foundation’s efforts, praising their commitment to empowering children and nurturing creativity at the grassroots level.
Looking forward, Ark Zero Five Foundation expressed optimism about expanding its initiatives, with plans to continue empowering the next generation through similar programmes.
