Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), has appointed Dr. Ufo Ejike Akunna as Acting Head of Department of Radiography for one year from September 5, 2024.
According to FULafia Registrar Malam Nuradeen Abdu, the vice-chancellor has also appointed the following:
- Dr. James Lokoja A. serves as the Acting Head of the Ophthalmology Department within the Faculty of Clinical Sciences.
- Acting Head of Psychiatry, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Dr. Agbo Paul.
- Dr. Ahmed Muhammed Rabiu serves as the Acting Head of Human Physiology in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences.
- Acting Anesthesia Department Head, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Ahmed Tijani Bako.
- Medical Biochemistry Department Coordinator Dr. Timjul Tanko Tyem, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences.
- Acting Head of the Human Anatomy Department, Basic Medical Sciences Dr. Lawal Ahmed Abdulmumuni.
- Acting Internal Medicine Department Head, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Dr. Yusuf Idris Abiola.
- Dr. Ibrahim Tajudeen Lanre serves as the Acting Head of the Pediatrics Department at the Faculty of Clinical Sciences.
- Dr. Egele C. Stanley serves as the Acting Orthopedic Department Head in the Faculty of Clinical Sciences.
- Dr. Mohammed Saliha Ozegya serves as the Acting Head of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, specifically in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department.
- Acting Head of Anatomic Pathology and Forensic Medicine, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, Dr. Lawal Mudashiru.
- Acting Head of Chemical Pathology and Immunology, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, Dr. Idris Ainavi Isah.
- Dr. Esther Solomon Audu, Acting Head, Medical Microbiology and Parasitology Department, Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences.
- Dr. Ramalan Mansur serves as the Acting Head of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences.
- Dr. Ukoma Chi-Kadibia Theophilus, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Hematology and Blood Transfusion Coordinator.
According to the announcement, every position will be over a duration of one year beginning on September 5, 2024.
