According to a statement from the school’s director of corporate affairs, Kunle Akogun, Vice Chancellor Wahab Egbewole (SAN), approved the expulsion or rustication of the affected students in response to the recommendations made by the Students’ Disciplinary Committee at its 220th and 221st meetings.
According to the statement, the affected students were punished for offences including violence, extortion, bed-space racketeering in hostels, theft, misbehaviour, assaulting another student, and admission racketeering.
It further stated that expulsion and rustication for one semester or academic session were among the sanctions for the offences the students had committed.
The impacted pupils belonged to different academic levels, including 100, 200, 300, and 400.
