FUNAAB receives NUC clearance for 8 new programs.
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved eight new programmes at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta to meet the growing demand for higher education among Nigeria’s youth. In the 2024/2025 academic year, FUNAAB would become a worldwide university offering equivalent programs.
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved eight new programmes at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta to meet the growing demand for higher education among Nigeria’s youth. In the 2024/2025 academic year, FUNAAB would become a worldwide university offering equivalent programs.
The newly authorised programs include B.LIS, B.Sc. Data Science, B.Sc. Cyber Security, B.Sc. Information Systems, and B.Sc. Software Engineering. B.Sc. Information and Communication Technology, Information Technology, and Industrial Chemistry are others.
Six of the programs are in computer science, therefore three new Departments each hold two programs.
FUNAAB’s growth shows its dedication to data science, cyber security, and software engineering, which are crucial to the digital economy.

Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, Vice-Chancellor, thanked Dr. Chris Miyaki, Ag. Executive Secretary of the NUC, for approving the additional courses following the rigorous Resource Verification Exercise.
