FUTA Pre-Degree Science Admission Application, 2024/2025
The Federal University of Technology, Akure Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) Pre-Degree Science (PDS) Programme accepts applications from eligible individuals.
Programme goal
This Programme aims to arrange for applicants with a School Certificate or equivalent to receive further education and training.
Admission Criteria
- Pre-Degree Science applicants must have:
(a) SSCE/WASSCE/GCE/NECO with a minimum credit pass in five subjects at two sittings, including English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Other important subjects for the planned courses include biology, agriculture, economics, and geography.
(a) Only these departments accept Physics passes:
- Estate Management
- Industrial Design
- Urban and Regional Planning
- Agriculture Economics and Extension
- Ecotourism, wildlife management
- Aquaculture and Fisheries Technology
- Crop Pest and Soil Management
A pass in Chemistry is only accepted in Architecture.
- In addition to (1) above, PDS graduates must meet the following requirements for university undergraduate admission: Get JAMB UTME form (b) Pick FUTA first. Achieve a least 50% aggregate score on the PDS final session exam. (d) Meet JAMB’s 100-level UTME minimum aggregate score and UAC standards.
The PDS program lasts
One academic session of two semesters will comprise the program.
