A Young Ghanian Woman Sets Record as University’s First Valedictorian with 4.00/4.0a 0 GPA
A young African lady, Sarah Seyram Arhinful, became the first valedictorian of the University of Education, Winneba in Ghana, with a 4.00 GPA.
She became the university’s first valedictorian with a first-class bachelor’s degree in Ewe Education with a minor in English during the 27th convocation.
After four years, Sarah thanked God and her classmates in her valedictory address, recognizing their hardships.
She applauded her graduation class’s outstanding success, despite financial constraints.
Sarah got a basic education credential at St. Francis College of Education in Hohoe, Ghana, before pursuing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Education.
She was one of three students chosen for a semester abroad at University institution Copenhagen in Denmark in 2021, and the only female from her institution.
Sarah teaches English at an Adabraka, Ghana, junior high. Her mother’s constant support and the university’s academics and personnel were much appreciated.
Sarah intends to become a professor and get a scholarship to study abroad.
She urged pupils to study, be confident, and conquer obstacles.
