Under the leadership of Governor Umar Namadi, the Jigawa State government has unveiled a ground-breaking program that will provide free education to female indigenous students in state-owned institutions from elementary school through doctorate.

Chamo claims that the program is a big step in the right direction for advancing gender equality and guaranteeing that women can make a meaningful contribution to the advancement of society.

“This program will have a lasting impact on the lives of our female students. By providing free education, the Jigawa State Government is equipping women with the tools to make informed decisions and uplift their communities,” Chamo stated.te Scholarships Board, reiterated the government’s dedication to assisting female students, stressing that education is the key to releasing their potential.

Alongside this initiative, the administration of Governor Namadi has previously sponsored 121 girls to study medicine in Cyprus, given scholarships to over 10,000 female students, and distributed 30,000 school uniforms to senior secondary school girls. In addition, 12 secondary schools for girls have received renovations worth over N1 billion, and materials like exercise books have been given out to promote girls’ school enrolment and retention.
