The introduction of the Basic Midwifery Programme for the academic year 2024/2025 marks the opening of the Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Eleyele, Ibadan (OYSCONME) to prospective midwives. This esteemed curriculum has been painstakingly created to provide students with the information and abilities needed to succeed in the honourable field of midwifery.
Starting a Path to Becoming a Professional Midwife
Concerning the Program
The extensive three-year Basic Midwifery curriculum is scheduled to start in March 2024. Participants will take the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) Final Qualifying Examinations after finishing the College course. The successful applicants will get the prestigious title of Registered Midwife (RM), which will enable them to register with the NMCN.
Admission Conditions
In order to be eligible for this transformative change, candidates need to:
- Possess a minimum of five (5) credits (obtained in no more than two (2) sittings) in WAEC, SSCE, GCE, or NECO in important subjects such as English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

- Using the application form fee link given, pay Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000.00) online.
- After payment, print the pin that was produced.
- To go to the application page and finish the procedure, use the pin.
- You must print the picture card so you have it ready on the test day.
If you are having trouble registering online, you may get on-site help with your ATM card in the College’s ICT Room.
