IJEBU—EAST— Adesegun Abdel-Majid Adekoya (Attacker), the Deputy Minority Whip of the House of Representatives in the 9th Assembly, has stated that he is still dedicated to expanding access to education and completing more projects that will have a positive impact on the lives of the residents of Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency, Ijebu North/Ijebu East, and other nearby communities.

During the ceremonial launching of a hall he facilitated at Abobi Comprehensive High School, Ago—Iwoye on Saturday, Hon. Adekoya—who represents the wonderful people of Ijebu North, Ijebu East, and Ogun Waterside at the green chamber of the 9th Legislative Assembly—disclosed this information.

In a news conference, Hon. Adesegun Abdel-Majid Adekoya stated that the hall project is an extension of his declared goal to guarantee a positive learning environment in public schools in his area.

According to him, “This project is in line with my pledge to provide basic amenities and infrastructures needed to boost literacy rate to drive economic development and promote our people’s aspirations in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.”

Since education is still the cornerstone of a bright and prosperous future for our children—the next generation of leaders—I will continue to place a high value on it.

It also proves that the PDP keeps its word, and if you lend us your overwhelming support to win back the mandate in the next election, we’ll accomplish even more. Adesegun Abdel-Majid Adekoya, Rt. Hon.

Modern furniture and electrical appliances are included with the school hall project to help create a favourable atmosphere for the learning activities of the pupils.

In his speech, Mr. Suberu, the PTA’s chairman, stated that after years of neglect, people would never forget the project’s facilitator for their amazing deeds. He also mentioned that it has given them a sense of community.

“Hon. Adesegun Abdel—Majid Adekoya has done what the people of Ogun Waterside, Ijebu North/Ijebu East, and even future generations will not forget,” he said.

“He completed this project ahead of schedule, which will undoubtedly improve our kids’ situation in getting a basic education,” stated the PTA Chairman.

The immediate past representative was praised by Dr. Mrs. Nuberu, a Zonal Education Office (ZEO) official, for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of his constituents.

She assured that the building’s intended use will improve both the host community’s and the children’s quality of life.

The former legislator was commended for helping the school project in their school by Mr. Badewa K., an Abobi Secondary School teacher, Miss Mulilat Bakare, a member of the Old Student Association, and Mr. Moshood, a member of the Senior Secondary School 3 student.

They claimed that the newly equipped school hall has increased access to fundamental education, which would benefit the pupils there.
