KWASU Informs Students of the Suspended Law Admission

Kwara State University, Malete’s management would like to clarify that JAMB’s announcement of a one-year ban on admission to KWASU’s law programs is due to the Council for Legal Education’s (CLE) decision to sanction KWASU for starting the law program in 2018 with just the National Universities Commission’s (NUC) approval.

Both the Council for Legal Education (CLE) and the National Universities Commission (NUC) have granted KWASU complete accreditation to provide two undergraduate law programs: Common Law and Common and Islamic Law.
The administration would like to clarify that students enrolled in programs at the University’s Faculty of Law are not impacted in any way by the one-year restriction.

Kwara State University respects all regulatory bodies and will abide by the CLE’s sanctions by refusing admission to the two law programs in the next 2025–2026 academic year.

Since all of KWASU’s programs hold the necessary accreditations, prospective students may apply to other, equally outstanding programs provided by the university.
