Lagos State University has announced the suspension of admissions into the Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Programme for full-time students (Stream 2) for the 2024/2025 academic session. This decision follows extensive deliberations by the University Senate during its meeting held on Friday, 15th November 2024.
Reasons for the Suspension:
- Programme Reorganization: The University aims to enhance the programme’s relevance by aligning it more closely with industry demands and global standards.
- Curriculum Update: There is a need to revise the curriculum to include skills that boost students’ employability and prepare them for the evolving job market.
Key Changes:
- Transfer of Admitted Candidates: All students admitted to the Full-Time Degree with Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Programme (Stream 2) for the 2024/2025 session will be automatically moved to the Full-Time Degree Programme (Stream 1), which excludes the Entrepreneurship component.
- Fee Adjustment: Candidates transferred to Stream 1 will only need to pay the fees specific to that program.
For Returning Students:
- Students in Stream 2 at the 200, 300, 400, and 500 levels will continue their current program until graduation.
