Born on September 3, 1962, Dr. Obarkapo Samuel James had a remarkable academic career spanning several decades. He was born in the Delta State local government area of Ughelli-North, and since August 15, 1994, when he started working as a Lecturer II in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, he has played a crucial role in the organization.
Dr. James has a strong academic background. He graduated with a Bachelor of Education in 1985, a Master of Science in 2007, and a Doctorate in Mathematics in 2016. These degrees came from Nasarawa State University, Keffi; the University of Jos; and the prestigious University of Benin.

Dr. James has demonstrated his competence and commitment to the profession by rising to the status of Chief Lecturer during his employment.
