NELFUND Warns Against False Loan Application Websites.

Students have been warned by the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) not to fall for scams that mimic legitimate loan application portals.

NELFUND reiterated its dedication to offering financial aid to qualified students in a statement released on Saturday by its Director of Corporate Communications, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, but cautioned them against using misleading websites.

The statement said, “The Nigerian Education Loan Fund would like to reaffirm that www.nelf.gov.ng is the ONLY official portal for student loan applications.”

Since they are unapproved and unreliable, students and the general public were cautioned to disregard any other websites, links, or communications purporting to provide access to the student loan program.

Emphasising its commitment to a safe and open loan process, NELFUND advised students to check its official website or follow vetted social media accounts for up-to-date information.
