Today, Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the event was held at Mamman Kontagora Square, Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria.
For the matriculation, the deans of each of the university’s 18 faculties introduced new students to the vice chancellor.

The students were given the matriculation oath by Malam Rabiu Samaila, Registrar of Ahmadu Bello University.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kabiru Bala addressed the students, stating that the recently admitted students were “lucky” to be accepted into the university.
The Vice-Chancellor urged them to take into account the rights and privileges of employees and members of the University Host Community while also adhering to the university’s laws and regulations.
He also exhorted students to avoid social vices including drinking alcohol, using heavy drugs, and joining cults or secret societies.
According to Prof. Bala, the university has set clothing regulations that must be strictly followed. Students are also encouraged to be security-conscious and report any suspicious activity right away.
He wished them luck in their academic endeavours and welcomed them to the university.
