Nigerian Governor Gives N2m Each to 3 Best Graduating Students in His State University

Cursory: The state governor has granted N2 million to each of the top three Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) graduates for the academic years 2020–2021; 2021–2022, and 2022–2023.

Three outstanding graduates from the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijebu-Ode, representing the 2020–2021, 2021–2022, and 2022–2023 academic years, each received N3 million cash prize from Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State. During the institution’s convocation ceremonies on the 13th, 14th, and 15th, the monetary award was declared. Sunday Oluwafemi (GPA: 4.89, 2020–2021), Obadina Patricia Elibe (GPA: 4.89, 2021–2022), and Mercy Deborah Sanyaolu (GPA: 4.86, 2022–2023) are the honorees. Okewale Nelson, a first-class mathematics degree student who benefited from the creative work-study program offered by the university, was given a monetary reward of N250,000 to show other students that working while studying does not have to be a barrier to academic success.
