At Sharda University in India, a resolute Nigerian student named Shuaib Ibrahim has excelled academically. Ibrahim obtained a PhD after receiving first-class honours in both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, twelve years after being turned down for entrance to a Nigerian institution.
Partial scholarships were given to him in honour of his excellence to help fund his academic endeavours. On X (previously Twitter), his cousin Mallam Mohammed Shuaib published Ibrahim’s motivational tale, describing how he went from undergraduate to doctoral studies in India.

Mohammed found an advertisement for Sharda University in a newspaper while in India in 2013, following failed attempts to gain admission to a Nigerian university. He verified that the university took Nigerian students after speaking with the Nigerian High Commission in Delhi. Ibrahim was accepted into the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program after fulfilling all entry requirements, and he graduated with first-class honours.
He received a 50% tuition discount for pursuing an MBA because of his exceptional performance, and he once more graduated with first-class honours. He then received a second 50% scholarship from Sharda University to pursue a PhD.
“Digital Value Chain and Organisational Productivity: A Study of Selected Automobile Companies in Delhi NCR” is the title of the dissertation Dr. Ibrahim did for his doctorate. His study looked at how the digital transformation affected the production and efficiency of the Indian auto industry, providing insightful information about the sector.
Dr. Hari Shankar Shyam, his academic advisor, was extremely proud of Ibrahim’s accomplishments and emphasised his commitment and intelligence throughout his academic career. Dr. Shyam expressed confidence in Ibrahim’s future achievement and commended his intellectual curiosity and unwavering dedication to study.
