This esteemed establishment, tucked away in the tranquil surroundings of Abeokuta, Ogun State, is extending an invitation to all suitably trained Registered Nurses who would want to specialize in mental nursing in order to further their careers. This curriculum has been painstakingly created to provide nurses with the extensive information and abilities needed to succeed in this demanding but fulfilling profession.
Qualifications and Conditions
Prospective applicants are encouraged to thoroughly consider the qualifying requirements and criteria to ensure a smooth application process:
- Academic Requirements: Candidates must have completed English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for a total of five (5) credits in WASC/SSCE/GCE OR NECO, achieved in no more than two sittings.
- Professional Qualification: It is required to have a Registered Nurse (RN) certificate from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (N&MCN).
- Experience: The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria registration and at least a year of post-qualification experience are prerequisites.
- Extra Requirements for BNSC Holders: Those who have completed their BNSC degree are eligible to apply for this field’s specialization as long as they can present documentation of their NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
