NYSC DG Cautions Corps Members Not to Travel Without Permission
Corps members should not travel without National Youth Service Corps clearance.
While visiting the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Corps Members at Bayelsa State Orientation Camp, Boro, and Rivers State Orientation Camp in Nonwa-Gbam, Tai Local Government Area, NYSC Director General Brigadier General YD Ahmed issued the warning.
He warned that NYSC bylaws will apply to Corps Members who travel without permission.
He also advised them to be safe and avoid dangerous youth escapades.
General Ahmed encouraged Corps Members to enhance their Place of Primary Assignments, assist their host communities, and complete commendable projects to raise inhabitants’ standards of living.
“You must attend all camp lectures. Keep your relationships strong and contribute to your host communities and primary assignments by completing good initiatives, he said.
In her report to the Director General, NYSC Bayelsa State Coordinator Mrs. Obiageli Okpalifo stated all Corps Members had acclimated to camp life.
According to Rivers State Coordinator George Mfongang, the 1,800 registered Corps Members—663 males and 1,137 females—have shown great patriotism, discipline, devotion, excitement, and respect for the authorities.
