This is to notify all aspiring corps members—that is, Nigerians who have completed their degrees from domestic and foreign universities and mono- and polytechnics—that the NYSC registration portal will open on January 29, 2024, allowing them to sign up for the 2023 Batch “A” mobilization.
Here are some pointers to help graduates with local training during NYSC registration:
- For soldiers deployed in Batch “A” of 2023 and earlier batches who did not attend the Orientation Camp, there is a Revalidation link.
- If you have already registered but didn’t finish, click “Login Here” to finish your registration using your old username and password rather than creating a new one.
- Avoid using a thumbprint proxy. (No one should take your thumbprint; you should take your own).
- Upload a crisp photo from your passport. If you upload a passport photo of yourself wearing a NYSC vest and you don’t comply, you won’t be allowed to camp.
- In addition to spelling mistakes and rearrangements, PCMs who have requests for Name Correction (Addition or Removal of Name) to be handled by the Institution should submit those requests through their dashboard during Online Registration.
- The Certificate of National Service and Exemption Certificate will now have the date of graduation and the course of study.
- Make sure your information is accurate.
- On your dashboard, request a Date of Birth Correction. Please be aware that after you register for camp, you cannot change your date of birth.
- PCMs should get in touch with our States Secretariat before the start of the orientation exercise if their thumbprints and passport photos were incorrectly uploaded during online registration. Passport photos cannot be changed after camp registration.
- When PCMs are allowed to print their Call-up Letters, part-time graduates must register online to print their Exclusion Letter from their dashboard.

- Avoid making many accounts.
- Input your name exactly as it appears on your certificate and upload original copies of your documentation.
- You can sign up from anywhere in the world, but before attending Orientation Camp, you must be in Nigeria.
- To acquire an evaluation letter if your institution of study has not been evaluated, get in touch with the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja. Send the assessment letter to NYSC NDHQ in Abuja.
- Keep in mind that the uploaded SSCE result needs to be at least four (4) years old.
- During online registration, choose a centre for the physical pre-camp verification.
- After successfully registering online, all foreign-trained graduates must physically appear in person with original copies of their transcripts, travel documents, and degree certificates.
- You must print your Clearance Slip and bring it with you when you register at the different deployment camps, along with original copies of your documentation, if your credentials were physically checked at the various centres during the Pre-Camp Verification Exercise.
- Bring the translated copy of your certificate to camp.
- The NYSC NDHQ in Abuja is where you must pick up your Exemption Certificate if you are exempt from service.
- The Exclusion Letter will be printed for those who are not eligible for service on their dashboard online.

Cyber Café Operators are not allowed to charge Prospective Corps members (Nigerian and Foreign-trained) more than Two Thousand (N2,000.00) Naira for services provided, according to the NYSC.

- Verify the Senate list to ensure that your records are accurate.
- Click on Registration for Mobilization 2023 Batch “A” if this is your first time registering.
- Do not register for a new account if you have already registered and did not finish your registration or submit it. To proceed with your registration using your prior Username and Password, click “Login Here” instead.
- Click the “Revalidation” option to revalidate your registration if you were mobilized in a previous batch and have previously registered online but are unable to attend Orientation Camp.

Prospective Corps Members (PCM) are expected to strictly comply with the following to guarantee a smooth registration process:
1. prospective Corps Members need to make sure they have GSM phone numbers in Nigeria and working email accounts that they can access to register. During the service year, such email addresses and phone numbers must be kept up to date.
2. It is expected of locally trained PCMs to register with their right matriculation number.
3. Only graduates with local training whose names are on the lists of approved results submitted by their respective institutions to the Senate or Academic Board will be able to access the register on the NYSC portal.
4. Prospective Corps members with foreign training should be aware that they are only eligible for mobilization if they have graduated from recognized universities. If a potential Corps Member with foreign training has any concerns about their institution’s accreditation, they should get in touch with the Federal Ministry of Education for clarification.
5. Nigerian graduates with foreign training should go to the NYSC portal, register, and upload the necessary files:
a. The qualifications for the West African School Certificate (WASC) are as follows: a minimum of five credits earned in two sittings; this is equivalent to the General Certificate of Education (GCE O’ Level); this is equivalent to the NECO; this is equivalent to the NABTEB; this is equivalent to the High School Diploma; this is equivalent to the GCE O’ Level for those who attended school in the United States; and so on.
b. Certificates do not meet registration requirements.
c. Entire official transcript from the HND or first-degree program.
d. International travel passport displaying the pages listed below;
- Individual Information.
- a visa for the academic nation.
- Date of the initial travel to the study nation and
- Arrival date in Nigeria.
e. Graduates who hold dual nationality must submit the Personal Data Pages from both of their foreign passports and bring the passports to the orientation camp in person for validation.
f. Before uploading, prospective corps members who studied in non-English speaking nations are responsible for having their diplomas and transcripts translated into English. It is also necessary to produce the translated diplomas and transcripts for in-person confirmation.
g. It is expected that all graduates of the following fields: pharmacy, medical laboratory science, physiotherapy, radiology, optometry, and veterinary medicine—have their Certificates of Registration with their respective professional bodies. Refund receipts are not recognized.
6. Graduates with foreign training who want to be mobilized for national service should avoid going to NYSC Headquarters in Abuja to have their documentation physically verified. The orientation camps will be the location of the exercise. In their respective states of deployment, they must report to the orientation camps and print their call-up letters from the Internet. Graduates with foreign training programs are asked to provide the original paperwork they uploaded for validation to the camps.
7. It is not permissible to use temporary certificates, To Whom It May Concern, internet printouts, scanned copies, or photocopies of credentials.
8. When obtaining the exemption certificate at the National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja, foreign-trained graduates who enrolled for it must bring original academic transcripts and international passports for physical verification.
9. Before Exclusion Letters are printed online, all foreign-trained graduates who registered and are barred from service should additionally show original diplomas and international passports at the NYSC NDHQ, Abuja, for physical verification.
10. To revalidate their registration, any potential Corps Members with overseas training who enrolled but were not called up for duty in the most recent batch should visit the NYSC portal. This group of people is exempt from having to pay N3,000.00 (three thousand naira) once more.
11. Anyone found to be presenting a fraudulent document will be decamped and demobilized.
12. Potential corps members need to make sure that the passport photos they use adhere to the following guidelines:
- Make sure your entire face—including your lips, jaw, ears, nose, and eyes—is visible without bending.
- Make sure the image is centred and fills the frame.
- Make sure there is no shadow on the white or off-white photo background.
13. Prospective corps members should never register via PROXY. Additionally, as the fingers used to capture their biometrics will be needed for verification at the orientation camps, they should keep in mind the fingers they used. No registration will be allowed for those whose biometrics cannot be validated during the orientation camp.
14. Phe payment of Three Thousand Naira (N3,000.00) is required only from prospective corps members who want to get their call-up numbers by SMS and print their call-up letters online (for payment instructions, visit the NYSC Portal).
15. PCMs can pick up their call-up numbers and call-up letters by visiting their schools if they choose not to pay the N3,000.00.
16. It is not necessary for any potential corps members who previously paid for their online registration but were not mobilized to do so again.
17. During registration, married female potential corps members (whether trained abroad or locally) should submit copies of their marriage certificates, proof of name change documentation, and proof of their husband’s residency.
18. It is not at all suitable for expectant or nursing mothers to attend orientation camp. For that reason, prospective corps members in this group should be aware that they will not be accepted.
19. To be eligible for a concessional deployment, prospective Corps Members with significant health difficulty must disclose upon registration their TRUE HEALTH STATUS.
20. Prospective corps members should call the numbers below if they graduated from an institution in one of the following geopolitical zones and had trouble mobilizing:

21. It is anticipated that all part-time graduates will register online and wait at their respective institutions to pick up their Letter of Exclusion. If you would like to print the Letter of Exclusion from the Internet, you can do so for a one-time fee of N3,000.00.
22. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO MORE REGISTRATION AFTER THE PORTAL IS CLOSED.
