Oladeji Olaide Ayodele, an alumnus of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has won a distinguished full scholarship from the Chinese government to do his PhD in Plant Pathology at Northwest A&F University, Shaanxi, China.
Oladeji, with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Crop Protection from FUNAAB, obtained a scholarship that covers all fees, including tuition, lodging, medical insurance, and living costs from 2024 to 2028.
His PhD research, titled “Effect of Rock Dust and Poultry Manure on Nematodes Associated with Watermelon in Organic Fields,” highlights his academic prowess and commitment, supervised by the former Dean of FUNAAB’s College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT).
The university’s student union has recognised his accomplishment, which exemplifies FUNAAB’s dedication to fostering ambitious and exceptional academics.
