Participate in the AAUA: Addressing Generational Corruption LSS Essay Competition in 2024

Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko’s Law Students Society (LSS AAUA) is pleased to announce the 2024 edition of the much anticipated LSS Essay Competition. This program, which focuses on important issues affecting Nigeria today, was organized by the Office of the Librarian of LSS AAUA with the intention of encouraging academic dialogue and critical thinking among law students.

Increasing Voices via Academic Conversation

This year’s challenge invites competitors to investigate novel solutions as it explores the ongoing problem of generational corruption in Nigeria. The competition’s subject, “Blessed Yet Impoverished: How can Nigeria solve its generational corruption issues?” attempts to find new angles and workable solutions to the corruption that has hampered the country’s progress for many years.

Competition Specifics

  • Topic: Blessed Yet Poor: How Can Nigeria Address Its Problems With Generational Corruption?
  • Word Count: Submissions must consist of 1000–1500 words.
  • Structure Conditions: For readability and a polished appearance, submissions should be in Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
  • Eligibility: In order to promote a feeling of community and intellectual development within the organization, this opportunity is only open to members of the Law Students’ Society (AAUA).

Awards to Encourage Competition

The LSS Essay Competition provides an opportunity for critical thinking as well as tempting prizes for the best entries:

  • First Place: N20,000
  • Second Place: N15,000
  • Second Place: N15,000

These awards encourage students to express their opinions and contribute to the important conversation about corruption in Nigeria.

Guidelines for Submission

  • Deadline for Submissions: All essays must be submitted by April 4, 2024, ensuring participants have ample time to research, draft, and refine their submissions.
