Pastor Jerry Eze, founder of Streams of Joy International and convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).
The university presented the recognition during its 53rd convocation ceremony, alongside other honorary degrees, postgraduate diplomas, higher degrees, and professor emeritus titles.
Pastor Jerry, initially skeptical about the authenticity of the offer, expressed his gratitude and excitement on Instagram, thanking his followers for their warm words and offering prayers for a joyous end to the year.
He shared, “Thank you so much, family, for your kind words and greetings on the conferment of the Doctor of Divinity by the University of Nigeria. I truly thought I was being scammed when I was first contacted… but serving Jesus isn’t a scam! May we all end this year with Mega Congratulations in Jesus’ name!”
Pastor Jerry, accompanied by his wife, Eno Eze, attended the event, where notable figures, including Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, received recognition. Pastor Jerry graduated from Abia State University (ABSU) with a bachelor’s degree in history and international relations.
