Rajon Rondo has earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Kentucky, fulfilling a profoundly personal goal that has been brewing for over 20 years.
After enrolling at the institution for the first time in 2004, the 39-year-old athlete immediately became well-known for being an exceptional player. But in 2006, he dropped out of school to enter the NBA Draft.

Known for his high basketball IQ, leadership, and relentless competitiveness, Rondo became a two-time NBA champion and four-time All-Star. Yet, despite his success in the league, he never lost sight of the promise he made to himself.
Rondo graduated in May 2025, and his accomplishment has been greatly praised by the University of Kentucky and supporters worldwide for his tenacity, modesty, and constant dedication to learning. His narrative is a potent reminder that development never stops and that real winners never give up.
