When a lecturer noticed that a Nigerian student had scrawled his exam answers on his traditional attire before entering the room, he was exposed for cheating.
The student’s face was included in a widely shared post on X (previously Twitter), which disclosed that he had written notes on his clothing in an effort to ace the test. But when the lecturer saw the scribbling, challenged him, and took a video as proof, his scheme was foiled.

Online responses to the incident were divided; some denounced the student’s behaviour, while others attacked the lecturer for filming and sharing the footage.
Some commenters said that pupils are held to unreasonable standards by the educational system, while others said the student should be disciplined or perhaps expelled. Others believed that making the video public was needless and might have long-term effects on the student’s future.
Notwithstanding the controversy, the video keeps going viral online, igniting debates on academic honesty and disciplinary actions in Nigerian colleges.
