Summary: In the 2022/2023 academic session, Edo State University, Uzairue, celebrated the outstanding achievements of twelve graduating students who earned First Class honours.
The Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Prof Emmanuel Aluyor made this announcement during a press briefing as part of the university’s 5th convocation ceremony. The university is proud to see a total of 414 students, including both undergraduate and postgraduate students, graduating.
Among them, 12 students achieved First Class honours, 154 received Second Class honours (Upper Division), 234 attained Second Class honours (Lower Division), and 14 graduated with third-class degrees.
Prof. Aluyor highlighted the institution’s growth in terms of student enrollment and the expansion of faculties and departments. He also mentioned that the university has received approval from the National University Commission (NUC) to introduce new programs.
Furthermore, the university maintains its tradition of awarding a prize of N5 million to the graduating student with the most innovative and potentially profitable business idea.
