Twin brothers Malik and Miles George earned a bachelor’s degree in Biological Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT. Their outstanding academic achievement earned them full scholarships, which enabled them to succeed.
The George twins, who are both African American, excelled academically and were high school valedictorians from an early age. They earned majors in African and African Diaspora Studies in addition to their engineering degrees.
To encourage and assist students interested in STEM, they co-founded the educational website www.malikandmiles.com, demonstrating that their efforts went beyond the institution. Their material creates a lively online learning community across social media sites including Instagram, Twitter, Discord, and TikTok.
Both brothers are dedicated to make a significant impact as they are ready to enrol in MIT’s PhD program in biological engineering. While Miles is committed to creating fair technologies for marginalised groups and increasing chances for people of colour in STEM disciplines, Malik wants to use research and innovation to address global issues.
