Ubi disclosed in a touching Instagram post that he enrolled in the UK law program during the COVID-19 outbreak because he wanted to continue being active and set new objectives.

He studied a range of legal and business-related topics during the course, such as criminal law, tort law, land law, contract law, equity, European law, and legal and public law. He managed his talk program, Talks with Ubi Franklin, while juggling his studies. He eventually took a break to concentrate on his studies.
He added that he lost his bid for political office during this time. Instead of becoming disheartened, he made use of the experience to sharpen his emphasis on business and education. He thanked his pastor, coworkers, and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria for their support during the trip.
