As the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Convocation Ceremonies draw near, it is crucial that you, as a graduate, be aware of all the prerequisites and different processes. Payment Requirement for Convocation Events

Convocation Ceremony fees are contingent upon your credentials.

• First Degree: N27,000.00
• Master’s Degree & PGD, M.Phil: N30,000.00
• Doctorate Degree: N30,000.00

Buying or Hiring of Academic Apparel

You can choose to either buy or rent your academic attire:

• First Degree & Masters Degree, PGD, M.Phil.:
  • Purchase: N40,000.00
  • Hiring: N15,000.00
• Doctorate Degree:
  • Purchase: N65,000.00
  • Hiring: Not Available

Method of Payment

To enable payment, you need to:

1. Generate payment advice from your student portal.
2. Use the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) to make payment through Remita to the University of Lagos TSA account.

Order of Proceedings and Academic Outfit Collection

There are several places where you may pick up your academic attire and Order of Proceedings, such as the faculties, institutions, and the University of Lagos Business School (ULBS). Don’t forget to provide proof of purchase (online receipts).

Invitation Cards and Attendance Registration

• Invitation Cards: Download and print the e-invitation cards from your Live email account for venue admittance.
• Registration for Attendance: Register via a link sent to your email a week before the ceremonies. Print out the Access Code for entry into the J. F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium.

Return of Academic Outfit

As soon as the convocation rituals are over, change back into your academic attire. Should you neglect to come back before Friday, February 2, 2024, there will be a fee of N40,000.00

Collection of Certificates and Alumni Registration Fee

• Certificates: Collect your certificates post-convocation. A demurrage charge applies for delayed collection.
• Alumni Registration Fee:
  • First Degree: N2,000.00
  • Postgraduate: N2,500.00
  • Payable to various UNILAG Alumni Association Accounts.

Final Thoughts

All graduating students receive congratulations from Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS, the Vice-Chancellor. After the ceremonies, certificates will be available for pickup once all required permissions have been completed.
