The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) invites applications for its 2024/2025 Postgraduate Programmes. The application form costs N25,000 for Nigerian applicants and $200 for international applicants, with the submission deadline set for Friday, 17 January 2025.

UNILORIN offers postgraduate degrees across various faculties, including Agriculture, Arts, Basic Medical Sciences, Communication and Information Sciences, Education, Engineering, Law, Life Sciences, Management Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine. Programmes range from Postgraduate Diplomas to Master’s (M.A., M.Sc., M.Ed., M.Eng., LL.M) and Doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees.
Eligibility Criteria
- Ph.D. Programmes: Applicants must hold a relevant Master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 60%.
- M.Phil./Ph.D. Programmes: Candidates with a CGPA of 55-59.99% may apply, with an option to convert to a Ph.D. after a progress review.
- Master’s Programmes: A minimum of Second Class Lower Division is required.
- Postgraduate Diploma: Open to candidates with a Third Class (Honours) degree or equivalent.
Duration
- Master’s Degree: 12-24 months (full-time) or 24-48 months (part-time).
- Ph.D. Degree: 36-60 months (full-time) or 48-72 months (part-time).
- Postgraduate Diploma: 12 months.
Application Process
Applicants complete the process online through the UNILORIN portal. They must submit supporting documents, including NYSC discharge or exemption certificates and academic transcripts, to the Postgraduate School. International applicants do not take qualifying exams.
