UNILORIN notification to potential postgraduate students, 2023/2024 about qualification test
Attention to all candidates interested in enrolling in the University of Ilorin’s Postgraduate programs and the general public. We would like to inform you that the Qualifying Entrance Examination for the 2023/2024 Postgraduate Admission has been scheduled as follows:
Date: Saturday, August 3rd, 2024
Duration: 3 hours (8:00am-11:00am)
Venue: Please refer to the included list of venues.
Applicants are recommended:
i) It is necessary to reach the test venue at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the examination. Please review the included calendar for your assistance and ensure that you comply with the stated deadlines.
ii) Furthermore, please ensure that you bring the application form and any other supporting papers to the location, making sure to make photocopies of them beforehand.
As per the University of Ilorin Examinations Guidelines, certain items are not allowed in the hall. These include mobile phones/handsets, calculators/calculating machines, digital wrist watches, sunshades, and any form of food or drink.
iv)equally important to dress appropriately in accordance with the University of Ilorin’s authorized “Dress Code”; furthermore
v) It is important to emphasize that the University has a strict policy of not tolerating any kind of examination malpractice. Those who engage in such behavior will face the relevant consequences without exception.
In addition, please be aware that:
a) Applicants for M.Phil./Ph.D. and Ph.D. programs exclude themselves from this arrangement since their respective departments will contact them directly; and
b) Graduates of the University of Ilorin who have obtained either a First Class or Second Class Upper Division degree and are applying for Postgraduate admission in the same program they graduated from, do not need to take the qualifying entrance test, as per the permission of the University of Ilorin Senate.
