Candidates must have completed one or more sittings of WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or TC11 (Faculty of Education only) with a minimum of five credits in English Language and four other appropriate courses to be eligible for any postgraduate degree at UNIZIK. Particular Conditions for Admission
Programs for Postgraduate Diplomas
- Those having a first-degree classification and an FCGPA of 1.51 or higher on a 5-point scale are considered university graduates.
- For graduates of polytechnics and mono-technics: those who possess a Higher National Diploma and at least a Lower Credit.
Programs for Masters Degrees
- Graduates from universities: Candidates must have a degree that is appropriate for the program they are applying to, with a minimum FCGPA of 2.50 on a 5-point scale, or 45% for universities that do not utilize FCGPA.
- For degrees that are not categorized, a minimum cumulative score of 60% is required.
- Postgraduate diploma holders are required to have an FCGPA of 3.00 or higher on a 5-point scale.
Programs for MPhil/PhD and PhD in Philosophy
- Candidates for MPhil/PhD: Must have a master’s degree with an FCGPA of 3.20–3.49.49 in the suggested subject of study.
- Candidates for PhDs must have completed a master’s degree with a least 3.50 FCGPA (or 60% at non-FCGPA universities). An MSc in a comparable field and an MBBS are prerequisites for a PhD in clinical oncology.
