A female student at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Anambra State, is seen in a widely shared video physically assaulting a lecturer after he interrupted her while she was filming a dance video.
The student can be seen filming herself in the video as soon as the lecturer enters, causing her to react instantly. Other students intervene to restrain her and stop additional violence as the situation swiftly turns into a furious physical altercation.

Concerns regarding the student’s behaviour are raised by reports that the student’s mother teaches in the university’s engineering department. Online, the incident has generated a lot of responses, with many people denouncing the student’s behaviour and demanding that she face disciplinary action.
People on social media are furious. One commenter, Chinyere, said the student should be expelled, while another, Amara Uche, denounced the behaviour and pointed out the disrespect for elders. Charles Amadi and others noted that her mother’s role at the university ought to have encouraged her to act more appropriately.
