With a 4.98 GPA, the 18-year-old Guy Tops the High School Graduating Class and is Accepted Into 17 US Universities

With an outstanding 4.98 grade point average, Craig McFarland, an 18-year-old student from the Philippines, has been voted the highest graduating student at Stanton College Preparatory School in the United States.

Craig’s scholastic career at Jacksonville, Florida’s Stanton College Preparatory School was marked by extraordinary dedication, which culminated in his graduation as the class valedictorian.

French, Spanish, and Arabic were among the demanding classes he took in his senior year of college, which demonstrated his love of writing and languages.

Craig’s outstanding academic performance was acknowledged by the 17 schools and universities around the nation that sent acceptance letters to him. His entrance into each of the eight Ivy League universities—Princeton, Columbia, the University of Pennsylvania, Brown, Dartmouth College, Cornell, Yale, and Harvard—was especially remarkable.

When Craig heard that he had been accepted to Yale University, he talked about how happy he was and how surprised he was. He also described the happy time he had spent in their room with his sister. Looking back on his career, Craig credited his early life instillations of self-motivation and determination for his accomplishments.

To quote him:

“I was in my room by myself with my sister, opening every Ivy League school one by one, and I was simply screaming with disbelief when I heard the Yale acceptance video. My sister and I sprinted to my dog and started dancing as I opened Harvard as the final one.

“I’m highly driven and motivated by myself. Since mom had already had to make so many sacrifices, I never wanted to cause her any more worry, so I developed a strong sense of independence early on.

Craig ultimately decided to pursue his bachelor’s degree at Yale University, despite being offered full scholarships to esteemed institutions like Florida State University and the University of Florida.

He wasn’t sure if he wanted to practice law or medicine, so he looked at Florida State University, Harvard, and Stanford University before deciding on Yale University. He planned to study biochemistry and linguistics there.

Craig said that his mother had to make many sacrifices for him and his brothers to have a comfortable upbringing.

I sincerely appreciate your reading. We would be grateful if you could forward this to your family and friends.
