Youth Corper Renovates Classroom

After Visit, Youth Corper Renovates run-down Classroom

An industrious Nigerian youth corper has garnered much admiration on social media for his remarkable renovation of a decrepit classroom. Following her first encounter with the classroom, she was very unsettled by its dilapidated state, to the point that she had insomnia. This encounter compelled her to take decisive measures.

She documented her trip in a video uploaded on her social media platform, elucidating her drive and the obstacles she encountered.

She detailed her first experience with the classroom, explaining how the condition of the space caused her to lose sleep. With a strong will to have a beneficial influence, she made the decision to refurbish the classroom and restore the seats.

Within the video, she composed a sincere message providing a comprehensive account of her own encounter:

“The truth is going to NYSC last year was not an easy task for me but deep down, I knew that I wanted to do it at least for my mother’s sakeโ€ฆI still cannot understand what mothers see in NYSC

I was posted to Madalla Secondary School in Suleja where I teach SS1A Biologyโ€ฆmy favorite subject

Thanks to my amazing friends and quality Rotarians around me, you guys mean the world to me

Was it easy? NO
Was it a challenge? YES
Did I give up at some point? YES
Did it take my time? YES
BUT I DID IT ANYWAY!!!

I had two goals in mind;
The first was to create a conducive learning environment, and the second was to create a mini-workshop for the kids to take more accountability and responsibility for their actions.
The truth is, no one or government can save you. You must take responsibility for what you have and do what you can.
Dear friends, NYSC, Madalla community, the principal, my LGI (Local Government Inspector), my Matron, my students, and my beautiful self for making this possible, and also thanks for your support, love, and kindness

God bless Nigeria”

Her altruistic deed and unwavering commitment have not only enhanced the educational atmosphere for pupils but also acted as a motivating illustration of civic duty.
